We are continuing to make progress on gaining support in the community which is the first step.
Here is a summary of all the other progress:
We need to show 75% of our residents are supportive of bringing High Speed Internet to Clifton by the time we start writing grants. Our next effort is to go door to door to deliver door hangers with some information on bringing high speed internet to Clifton. We are doing this right after labor day to reach more of the residents. We are looking for 25 volunteers each to go to 20 neighbors to inform them of this initiative and ask them to take a short survey.
If anyone is interested in meeting some of their neighbors while supporting the continued efforts to bring High Speed Internet to Clifton, please let us know by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday, September 6, 2017. We will provide the labeled door hangers to volunteers on Monday, September 12, 2017 to have distributed by Saturday, September 23, 2017.
Thank you for all of your support to date!
A group of neighbors from across the town formed a coalition to attempt to bring high speed internet to the Town of Clifton. We are making an appeal to the Town to help us. We contacted Baldwin-Lightstream (formerly Baldwin-Telecom) and presented a preliminary proposal to them. If the official proposal that we hope to present to them is accepted and grants secured, they will bring fiber optic cable to the entire township.
In order to ensure our efforts are successful, we need your help...
